Present-day people outside Africa commonly derive roughly 2–3% of their ancestry from Neanderthals, while some early Homo sapiens individuals in Eurasia possessed much more recent Neanderthal ancestors. The more interesting question is what happens when two technologically capable human populations exchange ideas while maintaining partly separate identities.

We do not know their vocabulary.
